Ghayth. O little knight.. Listen, and understand.. The days will pass swiftly.. So do not be hasty.. And the promised flood will come.. With a roaring cry like thunder; "O steed of Allah, ride forth!" "O steed of Allah, ride forth!" "O steed of Allah, ride forth!" The noblest knights of earth -at that time- will rush to the call, And the chosen ones of Allah among creation shall stand in ranks for victory.. That’s when the great epic begins.. O Little knight.. Let your steed be swift, Let your spear be unerring, And let your shield be ready.. Let yourself be a witness. And let not your soul stray; Let your heart be awake. Hold to the righteous fellowship.. And let not your sword be unruly; going stray, And let not your blade grow cold.. Thus is the time of the great epic. غَيث. أيها الفارس الصغير..  اسمع وافقَه.. ستمرُ الأيامُ سريعا.. فلا تَعجَل.. وسيأتي طو.فـ.ـان الوعد.. بـدوي صارخ كالرعد؛ أيــا خيل الله اركبي.. أيــا خيل الله اركبي.. أيــا خيل الله اركبي.. فـيفزعُ الى الداعي؛ خيرُ فوارِس الأرض آنذاك، ويصطف للنُصرة أصفياء الله من الخلق.. وذلك بدء الملحمة.. أيها الفارس الصغير.. فلتكن فرسك ناجزة.. ولتكن رمحك نافذة، ولتكن درعك جاهزة. ولتكن نفسك شاهدة. ولا تكن روحك شاردة.. وليكن قلبك متيقظا.. الزم طائفة الحق.. فلا يكن سيفك ناشزُُ.. ولا يكن نصلك باردُُ. فذاك زمان الملحمة.. انهض بعزمِِ.. الى كل مكرُمة، واستمسك بحزمِِ.. بـشُعَبِ الإيمان، واسلك دوما طرائق الإحسان، فـتلك خلائق الفرسان.. أيها الفارس الصغير.. ستمرُ الأيام سريعا.. ولن تعود صغيرا.. أيها الفارس الكبير.. إلزم غَرسَه -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فثَمة النجاة.. فثَمة النجاة.. فثَمة النجاة.. واذكرنا حين تقوم.. وتشتد..

And I deem— Allah knows best—that its limits and capacities are still not truly confined with certainty; rather, they are approximated by estimates and theories that aim and draw near. The rational method… Or, if you wish, call it the scientific method as well. For the one endowed with sound knowledge perceives the nature of that method by which truths are reached, sciences are inferred, and knowledge is preserved. Yet know, my friend… That knowledge is a light which may blind its beholder! —if he/she gazes upon it without knowledge; And knowledge is a sea which may drown its rider! —if he/she ventures into it without knowledge. Does not one who looks directly at the sun’s radiance without suitable protection risk blindness? Does not one who sets forth across the vast seas without suitable means risk drowning? So it is with knowledge.. Thus, if we wish to speak of knowledge...

Photo on Unsplash . العقل.. ذلك الوعاء العجيب! آلة الحفظ والاستنباط.. وأحسب -والله اعلم- أن حده وقدراته لا  تزال غير محصورة على سبيل اليقين، ولكن تقديرات ونظريات تسدد وتقارب. المنهج العقلي.. وإذا شئت فسمه المنهج العلمي أيضا. فذو العِلم العاقِل يُدرك ماهية ذلك المنهج، الذي به  تُستنبط العلوم وبه ي وصل الى الحقائق.. ولكن اعلم يا صاح.. إن العلم نور وقد يُعمي ناظره! إذا نظر فيه بغير علم.. وإن العلم بحر وقد يُغرق راكبه! إذا ركب فيه بغير علم.. أليس الناظر الى نور الشمس مباشرة بغير آداه مناسبة قد يُعمي بصره !؟ أليس الراكب عباب البحار بغير آداه مناسبة قد يُغرق نفسه !؟ فكذلك العلم. فإذا أردنا الحديث عن العلم، بل قل عن العقل في مَعرِض الايمان.. فلننظر الى سيرة أبو الأنبياء سيدنا إبراهيم -عليه الصلاة والسلام- في زمن غابر حين اندثر أصل العلم -العلم بالله والايمان به- بل قل حين أوشك أن يندثر أصل العقل نفسه؛ حين نحت الناس آلهة من الحجارة ثم عبدوها!  انظر معي يا صاح في أحداث تلك الرحلة البحثية العقلية المنطقية، التي جمعت في ثناياها بين مناهج التفكير المتنوعة وبين ما نسميه البحث العلمي ف...
